Ahh! Smells Like Teen Spirit around house of laskey! The days of flannel shirts and acid washed jeans are back in full force! (Except not for me this time.) My oldest is thirteen and let me tell you, he is growing faster than I can keep up. We purchased a new wardrobe at the summer and now that the cooler temps are starting to arrive here in Texas, my boy needed some new “drip” as he calls it.
Shopping has always been one of my favorite hobbies, just ask my Aunt LaLa. Watching my son develop his own style, yet still asking for my opinion has got to be one of my favorite things, EVER! I am working on the letting go factor and trying to just guide as best as I can.
I love a good deal and we were able to capitalize on the 50% off the entire site sale at Old Navy. I used Rakuten and got some cash back on this order! If you don’t use Raukten for online shopping, click the link to check it out!
Now that he is wearing adult sizes, that savings came in handy. The quality time spent with my son fills my tank, and I secretly believe it fills his, too. Watching him scroll through the site, pick something out, asking my opinion, and checking prices filled me with such pride.
He picked out a few plaid flannel shirts (exciting for this 90s nerd mom) and a few shirts to layer with said plaid shirts. We sized him for some new blue jeans and they were a great fit! We ended up going back to the store to let him try on a few other fits and grabbed two more pair of the slim fit. Which if you know this kid is a big deal, he hates jeans! This makes me so excited!
Thank you for following along on our Smell’s Like Teen Spirit shopping trip! We hope to share more in the future!
